Arancha Caballero
Bio

Arancha Caballero is currently the Managing Director of Nuadda, a company where she leads a team of professionals with a specialization in localization and IT translation from different languages into Spanish and other official languages of Spain. Arancha received her translation and interpreting degree from the University of Granada and her MBA in strategic management from the University of Madrid. She started her career as an in-house Spanish translator for ITP (Bray, Ireland), one of the first localisation companies, and has held different roles in the supplier side of the industry. Besides, Arancha is very honored to serve in the Board of Directors of Elia, the European Language Industry Association, in her second term. For her, relationships and business go together and Elia is the perfect European framework for this. She is curious about other cultures, their customs and food, so the translation industry with people from different countries just fits very well.

Isn’t communication what the language industry is all about? - Takeaways from the first Together event

Presentation in:

Together is the only European event conceived from the beginning as a platform for discussing and improving the collaboration between freelancer translators and language companies created by Elia, the European Language Industry Association.

I will share some of the topics that were presented at the first edition of Together (February 2016) and what attendees said they would like to see in the relationship between LSPs and freelance translators as well as what we are working on for Together 2017. Spoiler alert: communication features strongly!
