BIO
Dave has been at Dotsub for over 7 years and is currently its President and Product Owner. During his career, he has spent time in sales, software development and product management in High Tech before moving into Executive management.
After visiting many countries, he became passionate about video and language and their ability to enable knowledge to be shared, both for commercial and socially impactful purposes.
Dave helped build the growing team at Dotsub and was responsible for the conceptualization and development Dotsub's next generation Video Translation Management platform.
Dave lives in Brooklyn, NY, where he attends music concerts, plays golf and is an attentive member of the NYC food scene.
ABSTRACT
There is really no secret about the fact that the major changes in our century are mostly brought about by technology. This is a time of drastic changes and our profession, crucial to expanding knowledge across the world, could not be left out of this process. As technology circulates information faster than ever, so does the need to translate increase, bringing with it a new demand for the AVT market to cope with the increasing and continuous volume of audiovisual content needing to be translated, through the development of new tools. The aim of this round table is to have the companies that are developing new technologies share with us the not-so-distant future of solutions and tools for audiovisual translation.
