Associate Professor and researcher at InEd - Center for Research and Innovation in Education at the Polytechnic School of Porto (ESE P.PORTO).
Coordinated and co-authored the books SER Intérprete de Língua Gestual Portuguesa (2015), Por Amor (2017) and Intérprete que sou (2019).
Speaker, organizer and head of various events related with deafness, Portuguese sign language and the profession of interpreter, areas in which has published several works, both nationally and internationally.
In 2007, co-founder of the Association of Portuguese Sign Language Translators and Interpreters, whose direction have been chairing since April 2016
