Let it go, let it go! (The importance of daring to stray from the source text)
Presentation in:
Merriam-Webster defines translation as “a rendering from one language into another.” But is that all there is to it? Do we reproduce words, or convey meaning? Do we translate, or transcreate? In marketing, it’s always the latter. However, the principle of transcreation could be applied to a multitude of subject fields.
In this interactive presentation, we’ll be looking at different ways to subtly reshape a source text, as well as discussing recent technological developments in the translation industry and the importance of honing your skills.
