Bio
Axelle Arbonnier is a German-French and English-French translator with a specialization in law.
Axelle graduated in law and literature from the University of Lille (France).
Axelle has a double specialisation in law (Master in International and Community law and Master in French Public law) and languages (Germanistik). During the course of her 20 years of experience, Axelle has held, for the most part, legal positions in various multilingual environments.
Axelle worked at the European Commission as a member of the editorial team of the Bulletin of the European Union and the General Report on the Activity of the European Union. Thereafter, she represented a German Bonn-based consultancy in Brussels, before joining the Brussels office of the U.S. law firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP as a jurist.
An ease with foreign languages and very good drafting and editorial skills are Axelle's strongest points. Attention to detail, client service, a good resistance to stress and a capacity to meet tight deadlines are qualities that Axelle acquired while working in the demanding international law firm environment.
Axelle is a member of the ProZ.com translators community and endorses their professional guidelines and best practices.
