Bio
Brazilian, graduated in Business Management, I changed my profession after more than 15 years and since 2005 I work fulltime as a freelance translator. I have already organised translation events, presented lectures at conferences, universities and internet, translated a few books. I translate from English, French and Spanish into Brazilian Portuguese. I also participate on the APTRAD’s Mentoring Program.

You finish your translation studies and do not know how to start building your customer portfolio. Or you are already working as a professional translator but need to increase your workflow. Where are the customers?
Today, everything is on the internet. Those jobs you could find on newspapers, are now offered on Internet sites. Some people find new clients on social networks or mailing lists, but it’s on the specialized translation sites where we can see a steady volume of job opportunities.
In my case, was able to create a significant portfolio of clients via ProZ.com and that’s about it that I will talk more extensively.
